Boomerant, Inc.

About
Building the financial infrastructure for a growing economy.
A country's stock market has a significant impact on how its economy develops and functions. A rapidly expanding population and rising personal savings have caused a geometric increase in the need for high-quality financial services. Money must move from less productive to more productive activities in order for an economy to grow — and one of the most significant avenues for businesses to raise capital is the stock market.
The stock exchange promotes investment by facilitating the productive use of savings and idle funds, connecting lenders and borrowers at reduced cost. It enables diversification, fosters investor trust through transparency, encourages proper functioning of financial intermediaries, and enhances corporate governance through the rigorous requirements that listed firms must meet.
Boomerant was founded by Mr. Lamino Muhammad Salihu, driven by a burning desire to elevate the economy by strengthening market mechanisms for raising and allocating limited financial resources. Our exchange will draw in foreign investment, awaken stagnant domestic capital, and more effectively direct resources towards economic development projects.

Technology & Strategy
New technologies to revolutionise the stock market and modify how equities are traded.
Boomerant will use new technologies to make investing more efficient and accessible. The stock market will grow quicker, more data-driven, and accessible to a larger group of investors. With the use of these technologies, stock trading becomes more accurate and faster, giving investors more access to market data and the ability to make wise investment choices.
Online Trading Platforms
Investors can purchase and sell stocks from their computer or mobile device without a broker present to physically execute trades. More people participate as individual investors because it is easier and more convenient.
High-Frequency Trading
Algorithmic trading that executes deals in milliseconds using sophisticated computer systems and complex algorithms. HFT enables traders to act more swiftly on market opportunities and boosts stock market liquidity.
Real-Time Market Data
Investors receive real-time stock prices, trading volumes, and news updates — enabling well-informed investment decisions and rapid response to market changes.
Artificial Intelligence
Machine learning and AI produce trading signals, forecast stock prices, and examine market patterns. Large volumes of data are processed in real time, generating predictions that are challenging for humans to make.
Blockchain
A decentralised ledger recording transactions with security and transparency. This technology makes stock trading more efficient, secure, and accessible across the Nigerian market.
Financial Framework
Our flexible, modular architecture provides next-generation capital markets capabilities in an open and agile environment — covering the entire trade lifecycle from trading and clearing to risk management and market surveillance.
The African Context
Building liquidity in markets that need it most.
African stock markets face unique challenges. By international standards, they are small and illiquid. Less than $200 billion was the total capitalization of all 28 sub-Saharan African exchanges outside of South Africa at the end of 2023. The US market, in contrast, is estimated to be worth $45.5 trillion — over 228 times all the combined markets in Africa (excluding South Africa).
Returns on these markets are frequently erratic due to their small size, lack of liquidity, and often unstable political and economic conditions. The smaller markets in Africa typically account for 10–20% of GDP. Shares are rarely traded. These modest trading volumes reflect the size of local players and market conditions — but in practice, the dearth of real trading keeps many institutional investors in affluent nations from participating in African markets.
Boomerant is designed to address this. Through technology, transparency, and a multi-tier listing structure that accommodates companies at different stages of maturity, we aim to draw foreign investment, awaken stagnant domestic capital, and more effectively direct resources toward economic development projects across Nigeria and beyond.
